Working with Asbestos - FREE eBook

30 October 2015

Asbestos, the microscopic killer, has been consistently making headlines for the last 15 years and more, proving that there are still companies not going to sufficient lengths to manage the significant risks.

Just this month, the HSE has reported that an entire family in Lincolnshire, including a three year old girl, have been exposed to deadly levels of asbestos. A judge fined a local company after it pleaded guilty to health and safety offences.

Asbestos accounts for more than 5,000 deaths each year in the UK. In this case, the court heard that the company in question did not adequately manage clearly deteriorating asbestos materials.

In light of these regular reports, we've published a handy eBook which discusses the risks posed by working with asbestos and offers advice for how to manage it effectively and safely.

Appropriate training should be undertaken for any employee working with asbestos, you can find further information about what Develop Training can provide in relation to asbestos on our website.
